WBT products in demand by glass industry majors

The young and dynamic Italian company WBT, which celebrated its tenth anniversary this year, is getting ready to present wire mesh conveyor belts for use in annealing furnaces, tempering furnaces and storage tables, and tools for cutting molten glass at the Mir Stekla exhibition.

WBT regularly demonstrates its products at Mir Stekla and expands the range of its Russian partners year upon year. Wire mass conveyor belts are particularly popular. They are made of materials withstanding temperatures from –50 to 1,150°C and suitable for aggressive chemical environments. The company makes belts with round, flat or semicircular wire mesh. Flat and semicircular wire mesh ensure greater stability of the transported products.

A unique product – molten glass cutting blades – will be put by WBT on display at the exhibition. The blades come in different sizes depending on the diameter of the droplets and the number of incisions required: single, double, triple and quadruple. The blades are made of special high speed steel with high hardness and strength that can withstand high temperatures. They are sharpened to a high quality after a special hardening treatment.

The production and technical team, professionals with years of experience in designing conveyor belts for hollow glass production, is the biggest forte of WBT. Engineers, designers and technicians closely study needs and requests of clients, glass enterprises of Europe and other parts of the world. “We seek to become a technological leader and an ideal partner of our colleagues by creating remarkable products and comprehensive solutions for glass factories. The experience of our engineers and the use of quality materials make WBT conveyor belts impeccable and popular with the best glass companies worldwide,” WBT General Director Giuseppe Figini said.

You can take part in the exhibition and book a stand on the website.
