Mir Stekla welcomes guests

Today Expocentre Fairgrounds has opened its doors to the 19th edition of the Mir Stekla International Exhibition for Glass Products, Manufacturing, Processing and Finishing Technology.

Mir Stekla is the largest glass trade show in Russia and also ranks in the top five similar trade shows in the world.

According to Deputy General Director of Expocentre AO Mikhail Tolkachev, this year the exhibition welcomes more than 200 exhibitors from 20 countries, including 23 newcomers.

Russia is represented by more than 70 companies including Salavatsteklo, Saratovstroysteklo, Caspian Flat Glass, Karat, Steklopat and others. Their products are on par with those showed by leading foreign manufactures.

The traditional aesthetic centre of Mir Stekla is its ArtGlass salon which shows different and unconventional capabilities of glass and creative glass design ideas.

The Mir Stekla Russian Conference 2017 and other associated events will be devoted to the industry’s development prospects.

During an official opening ceremony, Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dmitry Kurochkin said, “Mir Stekla 2017 is an important trade show held at Expocentre Fairgrounds. It not only allows demonstrating achievements of the industry but also offers an opportunity to network with investors and partners and boost cooperation.”

Director General of the Greenhouses of Russia Association Natalia Rogova talked about an importance of quality glass for the greenhouse business and agriculture in general.

The exhibition is organized by Expocentre with support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and under auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It will run on June 5-8.
