President of Kyrgyzstan Roza Otunbaeva Visits Glassmaking Factory in Chuya Region

On August 27, 2010 President of Kyrgyzstan Roza Otunbaeva arrived in the Chuya region. She visited the largest glassmaking factory there.

According to the factory director, the production has been idle for several years already. But now there is hope. The factory is under repair and the lines are being reconstructed. The equipment is being delivered from Germany. That is expensive and requires about 11 million euro, but these expenses are warrantable, experts promise. The glass produced will be of high quality. To offset the production modernization, tax privileges are required. This very issue was brought up to the country’s president Roza Otunbaeva.

According to the president, the republic needs high-quality glass. Besides, the factory could export its production- building sites of Kazakhstan are in need of glass now. Rosa Otunbaeva emphasized that is necessary to take up specialists training on the factory floor.
