From June 6 through 9 Pavilion No.2 (Halls 1, 2, 3) of Expocentre Fairgrounds hosts the 18th edition of the International Exhibition for Glass Products, Manufacturing, Processing and Finishing Technology Mir Stekla 2016. It the largest trade show of the glass industry in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe.
It is a joint project of Expocentre AO and StekloSouz United National Council of the Glass Industry Enterprises. The trade show is supported by the Russia Ministry of Industry and Trade and runs under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Mir Stekla hits the world top five glass industry shows and is a key event on the Russian glass market. The relevance and importance of the exhibition for the development of the Russian and global markets of glass products are confirmed by the logos of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) and the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF).
Mir Stekla has proved its relevance for many years. The project stimulates revival of the best traditions of glass production and promotes the latest technology, state-of-the-art equipment and tools for glass manufacture and processing to the Russian market.
The Mir Stekla 2016 exhibitors are 180 companies and enterprises from 18 countries: Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Russian, the UK, Ukraine, and the USA.
Well-known international companies show their great interest in the trade show, among them Glaston, MSC&SGCC, Grenzebach Maschinenbau GmbH, Hegla GmbH, RHI Glass GmbH, Bystronic Glass, Heye International GmbH, Horn Glass Industries AG, Bottero S.P.A., BDF Industries S.P.A., Pneumofore, Mountain Glass Technology Co., LTD., Landglass Technology Co. The visitors can fully appreciate the accomplishments of the Russian glass industry at the stands of more than 70 Russian exhibitors. Among them KAMI Machine Tool Trade Association, Yuta, Salavatsteklo, Saratovstroysteklo, Caspian Flat Glass, Lisma, Ferro Speciality Materials, HFD House, Vremena Goda, Brinolli, Zenon, Steklocentr, Piramida-Glass, Adem, and others.
This year major international manufacturers of glass products will showcase the latest technology for glass production and processing, machinery and tools for the glass industry, art and dйcor glass, stained glass, test and regulating equipment, software, and research projects on the total exhibition area of more than 11,000 sq m.
The Art Glass Salon demonstrates unusual properties of glass. The participants will be able to implement the most ambitious and creative ideas in interior decoration. The Salon features master classes of Russian and foreign glass painters. The art glass experts will please the visitors with original glass furniture, home and garden lamps, and designer solutions in decoration. They showcase their own works e.g., pictures, vases, fountains, stained glass, panel painting, adornments and mosaic made of glass. The visitors will consider fresh ideas and new trends in architectural appearance of buildings, art and designer works including interior glass, dishes and glassware.
The glass industry experts will participate in associated events, where exchange of views will allow establishing contacts to promote new and high-quality glass products to the glass market.
The key event of the business related program is the International Forum on Glass and Modern Technology – the 21st Century. The Forum is organized by StekloSouz United National Council of the Glass Industry Enterprises and Expocentre AO. The Forum participants will discuss the industry challenges and development under the current conditions and receive updated information on the latest technology.
The visitors can attend not only the Forum but also Presentation Area where the participants will tell about their new products and the latest accomplishments.
The Mir Stekla official opening will take place in Pavilion No.2 (Hall 2) on June, 6 at 13.00.
