Mir Stekla’2010, the 12th International Eexhibition for Glass Products, Manufacturing, Processing and Finishing Technology, took place successfully at the Expocentre Fairgrounds on June 7-10, 2010. Mir Stekla is the largest exhibition of the glass industry in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe countries. By tradition, the show was organized by Expocentre and the Russian Union of Architects. The exhibition was held under the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Moscow City Government. Mir Stekla is awarded with labels of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) and the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF).
From year to year Mir Stekla fills a central place on the list of specialized events of the glass industry and attracts the glass industry specialists and major manufacturers first of all. The exhibition is a catalyst of the latest trends and prospective technologies as well as it reflects a state of the industry, and evidences the growth of interest in glass applied in architecture, construction and other fields.
This year about 266 exhibitors from 23 countries took part in the Show. Germany, Italy and China actively maintaining the Russian line of their manufacturers’ activity at state level by exhibiting their national and joint expositions.
The Mir Stekla exhibition occupied two pavilions on the total floor space of 19 257 sq meters. The systemized exposition demonstrated the world leading glass manufacturers’ production including modern equipment, the latest glass manufacturing and processing technologies, tooling and ancillary equipment. A wide variety of art and decorative glass products was brought to visitors’ attention.
Such well-known companies as Bottero, Bohle, Emhart Glass, Pilkington, Sisecam, Dekor Glass, North Glass and many other leaders of the world glass industry were among the exhibitors.
Presentations of new products and technological solutions were held by BYSTRONIC LENHARDT GMBH (Germany), ZAVOD LIT, Steklo-Luxe, Termo-Tekhno, Bottero (Italy), KAMI-Komplekt and other renowned glass market participants.
The next Mir Stekla-2011 International Exhibition will be held at the Expocentre Fairgrounds on June 6-9, 2011.
