The 8th International exhibition MIR STEKLA 2006 (WORLD OF GLASS) again has proven to be the strongest exhibition of glass industry in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The increasingly important multi-disciplinary dialogue between architecture, industry and art was held at MIR STEKLA 2006. The thematic portfolio included glass perspectives for challenges, energy efficiency, translucent structures assembling problems, evergrowing demand for interior glass. Exhibition Projects:
The 1st International Salon of Art and Decorative Glass ArtGlass with 22 companies from 6 countries was organized within the framework of MIR STEKLA 2006 exhibition. Stained-glass panes, mosaics, decorative & art glassware, assorted glassware, mirrors became the main exhibits of this unique salon. The attendees had direct access to the Salon through a new entrance in Forum. ArtGlass project launch was successful - the great part of ArtGlass 2007 exhibition space has been rebooked! On behalf of VDMA (German Association of Machinery and Manufacture) IFWexpo Heidelberg Gmbh organized a national pavilion with 31 German companies. Italian Pavilion
On behalf of GIMAV (Italian Glass Processing Machinery and Accessory Supplier’s Association) Italian Institute for Foreign Trade organized a national pavilion with 18 Italian companies.
